Abstract

This community service aims to describe the implementation of teaching assistance activities carried out at SMP Negeri 30 Palembang by an undergraduate student of Physical Education from Bina Darma University. The purpose of the activity is to improve students’ learning motivation, discipline, and physical skill development, especially in basic sport movements such as athletics, gymnastics, and team games. The method used consists of observation, mentoring, direct teaching, and evaluation in the form of assessment and reflection. The results showed that teaching assistance activities had a positive impact on students' participation, discipline, and improvement of basic movement skills. Students showed increased enthusiasm and confidence during the learning sessions. The program also encouraged collaborative learning and sportsmanship values among students. The activity is considered successful and is recommended to be continued in future academic cycles, especially as a form of practical learning experience for prospective teachers.
