Abstract
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Fun Young gymnastics model in improving students' learning motivation in Physical Education learning for seventh-grade junior high school students. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 32 seventh-grade students. Instruments used included a learning motivation questionnaire, observation sheets, and interviews. The findings showed a significant increase in students’ motivation after implementing the Fun Young model, with the average motivation score rising from 62.3 in the pre-cycle to 83.5 in the second cycle. The learning atmosphere became more enjoyable, interactive, and aligned with the developmental characteristics of junior high school students. This model also promoted active student participation and fostered a positive classroom environment. Therefore, the Fun Young gymnastics model is considered an effective alternative teaching strategy to enhance students’ learning motivation in Physical Education.
