MENINGKATKAN KETEPATAN SMES PERMAINAN TENIS MEJA MENGGUNAKAN BED MODIFIKASI
Abstract
This study aims to improve the accuracy of smashes in table tennis through the use of modified paddles (bed modifikasi) as instructional aids. The research was conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR) at Class VII-3 of SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu. The study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 20 students. Instruments used included a smash skill test, observation sheets, teacher reflection journals, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' smash accuracy. The average score increased from 63.5 in Cycle I to 78.6 in Cycle II. The number of students achieving the “good” category rose from 30% to 85%. These findings indicate that using modified paddles effectively enhances students’ smash accuracy. Furthermore, the use of this tool also increased students’ active participation, self-confidence, and learning motivation.
