Penguatan Literasi SDGS Berbasis Kemandirian Ekonomi Dan Lingkungan Di Pesantren
Abstract
This community service project demonstrates that strengthening Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) literacy through economic and environmental independence in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) can be an effective and contextual model of sustainable education. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this project involved students, Islamic boarding school administrators, and academic partners in an integrated program that included SDGs literacy training. Results show that the integration of educational, economic, and ecological dimensions creates a synergistic framework that fosters value-based behavioral change and institutional innovation. This community service project provides an empirical contribution to an Islamic-based sustainable education model that connects spirituality with practical community empowerment. Implications of the community service project include curriculum innovation, formulation of Islamic education policies that are adaptive to the SDGs, and cross-sector collaboration between universities and religious institutions. Further community service activities are recommended to explore the long-term impact of sustainability literacy and the digital transformation of Islamic boarding school curricula to strengthen systemic implementation.
